HELCO STRIKE

The Hawaii Electric Light company picketed the streets of Hilo, on strike of working until the age 62 instead of 60. A tentative settelment was reached to end the 4 day strike. There were no official word of the agreement but workers will continue the strike until it was official. The Kapoho Outage at 3:24 PM ffected 1,350 customers. Power to 1,270 customers was restored by 4:35 p.m. with the remaining 80 customers getting their power back at 6:31 p.m.affected 1,350 customers.
